Blog Reflection (FINAL)

Early in the year, I learned the importance of being part of a team in order to get things done. In the Cyber bullying project, My group had many conflicts; We did not agree on our ideas and each of us wanted to do something different but we could not do so for obvious reasons. We were stubborn and each of us wanted to do things our way because we felt our ideas were the best ones. I had to learn how to compromise with our projects and learned things flow so that there would not be a conflict between the group members. I also learned how to use tie more wisely and be more prepared. The Cyber bullying video took a long time because my group and I were not organized and we did not use our time wisely. We did not know what we were doing and we did not know how to effectively communicate a message to an audience. I am glad to say that I learned from my mistakes because now I know how to use my time and how to better suggest an idea or feeling to an audience whether is through music or a simple camera angle. In the Cyber bullying video, I chose sad music because we wanted to make a serious video to show how bad cyber bullying can get and how serious it needs to be taken. On the values video project, I learned how to effectively use an introduction shot. The video starts with an aerial view of senior mound and then it moves left and then down to me sitting on the table doing my home work.It was perfect because the birds can be heard on the background and that gave it a more realistic mood to the video. Another thing that I learned was how to edit a film. I learned how to use effects and video transitions. I learned how to use music effectively and how to use titles. The most important thing I learned is that film making is not easy task. I now look at movies differently; I think of the process the directors and producers had to go through and I think of the camera angles and the music and their techniques to make a great film.

Jabberwocky

I think we used "gamma correction" best because it was not so difficult to animate. Gamma correction makes the screen either dark or really white. We were trying to show how the clouds were dark but then it got bright really fast. I think it goes well with "and the mome raths outgrabe" because it made it dramatic.

Replicate effect

We chose the effect Replicate from the folder Stylize. We liked this effect since it multiplied the subject into a bunch of little screens within the screen. We could see this being used as an effect for a commercial where the subject talks about a good deed spreading and multiplying.

Wave Warp

We chose the effect Wave Warp from the folder Distort. We could use this effect for various things, the Sine waves work perfectly for a shot meant to be a reflection on water or for her to appear to be in water, and the Sawtooth waves work for a disrupted or distorted effect on a television screen.

Star Testing!

In our video, Demi and I clearly cover all the key points when it comes to taking the Start test. Not only do we cover them but we creatively explain why the Star test is important. We also go over some tips that could be very useful when it comes to taking the Star test. One of my favorite elements about this video is the music we chose, it is catchy and up-beat. It makes the underclassmen pay attention to the video because it's funny and fast-paced Our transitions are awesome and our video in general is awesome! Why wouldn't you vote for us?
