Title Template

This is an example of an title template, which means that the title already came with the software but you put your own capture on it. You might use this kind of title when you want a template because it looks better.

Title Overlay

This is an example of an overlay title, which means that the title is on the screen at the same time the clip is rolling. You might use this kind of title when you are introducing a person or want to put a caption.

Title 1

This is an example of a still title, which means that the title does not overlay the video and the title has a background. You might use this kind of title when you want to introduce the video.

Inserting

The difference between an overlay and an insert edit is that inserting makes the video longer and it does not interrup the sequence of the main clip. You would use an overlay when you want the video to seem more realistic in sence of time, while you’d use an insert edit when wanting to show the whole clip when inserting something in the middle of it. In this case the overlay edit works better because it shows the video continuously and it makes more sence in terms of time.

Overlays

This is an example of an overlay edit. An overlay edit places a clip over the clip without making the video longer. To do this, you drag the video somewhere in the other video. I decided to overlay the 2nd clip where I did because it made sence in the video.
