Early in the year, I learned the importance of being part of a team in order to get things done. In the Cyber bullying project, My group had many conflicts; We did not agree on our ideas and each of us wanted to do something different but we could not do so for obvious reasons. We were stubborn and each of us wanted to do things our way because we felt our ideas were the best ones. I had to learn how to compromise with our projects and learned things flow so that there would not be a conflict between the group members. I also learned how to use tie more wisely and be more prepared. The Cyber bullying video took a long time because my group and I were not organized and we did not use our time wisely. We did not know what we were doing and we did not know how to effectively communicate a message to an audience. I am glad to say that I learned from my mistakes because now I know how to use my time and how to better suggest an idea or feeling to an audience whether is through music or a simple camera angle. In the Cyber bullying video, I chose sad music because we wanted to make a serious video to show how bad cyber bullying can get and how serious it needs to be taken. On the values video project, I learned how to effectively use an introduction shot. The video starts with an aerial view of senior mound and then it moves left and then down to me sitting on the table doing my home work.It was perfect because the birds can be heard on the background and that gave it a more realistic mood to the video. Another thing that I learned was how to edit a film. I learned how to use effects and video transitions. I learned how to use music effectively and how to use titles. The most important thing I learned is that film making is not easy task. I now look at movies differently; I think of the process the directors and producers had to go through and I think of the camera angles and the music and their techniques to make a great film.

Jabberwocky
I think we used "gamma correction" best because it was not so difficult to animate. Gamma correction makes the screen either dark or really white. We were trying to show how the clouds were dark but then it got bright really fast. I think it goes well with "and the mome raths outgrabe" because it made it dramatic.

Replicate effect
We chose the effect Replicate from the folder Stylize. We liked this effect since it multiplied the subject into a bunch of little screens within the screen. We could see this being used as an effect for a commercial where the subject talks about a good deed spreading and multiplying.
Wave Warp
We chose the effect Wave Warp from the folder Distort. We could use this effect for various things, the Sine waves work perfectly for a shot meant to be a reflection on water or for her to appear to be in water, and the Sawtooth waves work for a disrupted or distorted effect on a television screen.

Star Testing!
In our video, Demi and I clearly cover all the key points when it comes to taking the Start test. Not only do we cover them but we creatively explain why the Star test is important. We also go over some tips that could be very useful when it comes to taking the Star test. One of my favorite elements about this video is the music we chose, it is catchy and up-beat. It makes the underclassmen pay attention to the video because it's funny and fast-paced Our transitions are awesome and our video in general is awesome! Why wouldn't you vote for us?

Thinking About Our Final Values Video
Positives: actors committed a 100% (Cassie&Alexis)
8.5 for editing (Cassie&Alexis)
The name is fine, (Cassie&Alexis)
I especially liked the establishing shot, because it sets up the entire short film (Jaay)
Suggestions: The end credits need to disapear fulling before the BLOOPERS comes out. (Cassie&Alexis)
The resolution is pretty clear BUT you could show Amanda walking up to Alejandro from behind to come talk to him to add to it and also fix the odd transititon. (Cassie&Alexis)
You could maybe add some music to show the tension between Alejandro and the bullies. (Jaay)
I would recommend changing the background of the title scene to be a little bit more fitting to the film. (Jaay)
The comment made by Cassie and Alexis help us feel confident in how we portrayed our caracters. Also on the theme we feel like we did a good job. A lot of suggestions that we got was on addiding music in the part were the bullies come in which we do if there is time which there should be.
The two best seggestions we got wher addding music and showing Amanda walking up to Alejandro.

Rough Draft of Values Video
The value we are trying to represent is "Standing Up for Others." I think our group has been doing well when it comes to organizing our shots and organizing in general. It was a big improvement from the last project. What we need feedback so we can know if the video flows well and to know if the transitions are good and if they go with the video. Some of the challeneges with had with the video was the lightning of the place where we filmed and getting an extra actor. We got Michaela Connor to be "bully 1" and we had to film all of her shots in one day. We barely had time for it. We tried to be as fast as we could but do a good job and we did it!

Over The Shoulder Exercise
We chose to use a medium long shot at the very beggining when the students shake hands and then we only used over the shoulder shots since that's what the exercise was about.I think that we followed the rule of thirds just fine. It looks better when one follows the rule of thirds. When following the rule of thirds, you the image from a character's perspective and it makes one feel like if one was really there. The challenges we had during editing with the dialog was that the actors sometimes said their lines too fast or the were not looking where they were supposed to.The mood of our video is a little serious and unrealistic because the actors did not know their lines and had to be looking down to read the script. I learned that we have to prepare our shots better and organize things better in order to make good videos.
